works crews have been busy filling up pot holes around town and a contractor is now removing temporary clay levees in Valley City.
Mayor Bob Werkhoven says the commission unanimously approved of a resolution awarding the $247,000 contract to Tom’s Backhoe Service for clay removal in Valley City recently. The contractor previously worked on and completed the removal of Hesco barriers in the city. And the city also approved of a project management contract to Jeff Huseby in the amount of $74 per hour to provide contract management and oversight services for the clay removal in Valley City.
