N.D.(NewsDakota.com) Cleveland Indians designated hitter Travis Hafner will be the guest on the AM 1400 KQDJ Summer Sports Corner with Mark Mckenzie on Saturday.

The 34 year old Sykeston, North Dakota native is in his 10th year in the big leagues, and he is enjoying a good year with the tribe. Hafner is hitting .325, with eight home runs, nine doubles, and 21 runs scored, despite missing a month due to injuries.

Hafner will talk about the surprising success of the team this year, as Cleveland was picked by many to be one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball this season, and they find themselves only a half game out of first place in the American League Central at the All-Star break. He will also talk about life as a dad, and how he is dealing with the loss of his father from cancer.

Showtime is set for 9:06 Saturday morning on AM 1400 KQDJ and newsdakota.com.
