N.D.–Another year at the Jamestown Public Schools gets underway tomorrow.  Superintendent Bob Toso told us that the last few years they have seen a decline in enrollment.  However, this year is looking like this year that seems to be turning around.
“We don’t have anything really official right now.  We know we are going to be up a little bit.  We will get a count the first day of school.  Right now we’re looking that maybe we are going to be up 60 or 70 students.  That’s really a rough estimate.”
News Dakota asked Toso whether or not students will see any major changes this year compared to last.  He said,  “There’s always a few new things.  We didn’t do as much with buildings this year as we the year before…The board has approved Gearing Up For Kindergarten.  So we will be doing some planning for the first semester. And then we will look at how to add that the second semester…There’s always new textbooks and technology and things like that.”
Toso added that they are excited to have the kids back tomorrow.
