Mark McKenzie(NewsDakota.com)…Blue Jay diver Alex Lind is off to an amazing start to the 2011 girls swimming and diving season.

Lind set a pool record for diving points last Thursday with 241.60. That record didn’t stand for long. The Junior put up 263.05 points on Saturday to break her 48 hour old record at the Blue Jay Invite at the high school pool. Teammate Abby Wanzek came in second with 195.35 points.

Williston won the meet with 570 points, Jamestown came in fourth with 434 points. The Jays also picked up wins in the 300 relay, the 150 butterfly relay, 150 backstroke relay, and the 60 freestyle relay.

Next up is a triangular for the Blue Jays at Grand Forks versus Red River and Central on Friday.
