Mark McKenzie(NewsDakota.com)…The Blue Jay girls golf team spent Monday 340 miles from home, competing in the Williston Invite. Due to an injury, the Jays were unable to field a team, and had only three golfers compete in the meet.

Sierra Bennion again has the Blue Jays top score, as the eighth grader shot a 94, good enough for ninth place. Sophomore Maria LeFevre shot a 97, and Alyssa Mangin finished with a 108. Head coach Dean Kraft has concerns about fielding a team for the rest of the season “We only have four golfers, and that is the minimum for competing in tourneys, and being eligible for a team score. Alyssa Barnick is having some shoulder issues, and we aren’t sure if she will be back.”

Next up for Jamestown is a trip to the capitol city for the Bismarck Century Invitational on Saturday.
