N.D.- The wait for the completion of construction on North Dakota Highway One through the city of Oakes is almost over.

Brett Slotto with Moore Engineering says that crews will begin pavement operations of the road on Thursday, and the road should be open for traffic by early next week.

There will be some other finer details that still have to be completed, including touching up a section of the highway by the railroad tracks, in addition to seeding areas near the highway that saw construction traffic. but Slotto says most of that work is minor and the important thing is that the highway will soon be open to traffic again soon.
