Mark McKenzie(NewsDakota.com)…After opening the season with it’s first 13 matches on the road, the Jimmie womens volleyball team finally had a chance to play in front of the home crowd Wednesday night, and the Jimmies did not disappoint, defeating Mayville State  3-1 at Hanson Center.

Jamestown won the first game 26- 24, dropped the second game 21-25, bounced back to take game three 25-23, and finished things off in game four 25-16. Jada Meiklejohn came up with 36 assists, and Kelsey Deragisch had 26 assits. Heather Brown nailed 16 kills, Katie Zent finished with 15 kills, and Emilee Schutta had 13 kills. Katie Lee came up with 31 digs.

Jamsestown improves to 9-5, and 1-0 in conference play. Next up is a non-conference match with Black Hills State of Spearfish, South Dakota on Friday night at Hanson Center at 7:00 p.m..
