Jamestown College cross country and track and field athlete Curtis Huffman won the Omaha (Neb.) Marathon on Sunday. 

Huffman, a 2008 JC graduate, finished the 26.2-mile race in a time of 2 hours, 36 minutes and 54 seconds. He finished eight minutes ahead of the second-place finisher.  It was the first career marathon victory for Huffman, who is an accomplished marathoner. He placed fourth in the 2010 Fargo Marathon. 

The race featured 387 male runners and 236 female participants.  Curtis and his wife Casey live in Wessington Springs, S.D.
