City, N.D. – A retired Valley City pastor has donated 28 tons of produce to the Great Plains Food Bank, which feeds the hungry in North Dakota and western Minnesota.

More than 200 Valley City State University students and other volunteers this week helped harvest the squash, potatoes, onions, carrots, beets and cabbage grown by Dan Faust.

Faust’s efforts began 3 years ago with a couple of pickup loads of produce grown in Valley City to using skid-steer loaders to load boxes into three trucks for hauling.
