City, N.D. – Slippery road conditions caused several vehicles have crashes today on area road and Interstate 94.

One crash in Barnes County injured a 3-year-old Florida girl after the truck she was riding in, hauling a camper crashed in the west bound lane 18 miles west of Valley City about 8:30am. Chief Deputy Don Fiebiger says the girl was not seriously injured. He says the party was traveling to Minot.

In Cass County Highway Patrol Captain Brian Niewind says one person was seriously injured and had to be extricated from a semi after it rolled near Buffalo in the west bound lane in Interstate 94 around 7:30am.

Niewind says the 59-year-old driver was partially ejected from the semi. The Louisiana man was transported to a Fargo Hospital for treatment of injuries. He says the semi was hauling a FEMA trailer to Minot when the crash occurred.

The Highway patrol will release a crash count total later today. Motorists are being asked to slow down and de-engage your cruise control when it’s icy.
