(NewsDakota.com)- The first poll of the regular season came out yesterday and both Jimmie basketball teams found themselves in the Top 25.

The Jamestown College women made their first appearance in the poll at No. 19 despite having the most wins in the country and only one loss. Their wins include victories over preseason No. 1 Northwestern (IA) and two NAIA DI schools this past weekend (Montana-Western and Rocky Mt College).

The women’s next game will be Sunday, Dec 4th against Oglala Lakota College at the Civic Center in Jamestown.

The Jimmie men moved up four spots from the preseason poll to No. 18. JC is one of only four schools included in the Top 25 with three losses. However, their six wins in a row was good enough to move them up in the standings.

The men will travel to Grand Forks tomorrow (Wednesday) to battle the University of North Dakota. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm tomorrow night. You can hear that game streamed right here on NewsDakota.com or your radio dial at KQDJ 1400 AM.
