CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–Channing Minnema has been selected as the Farmers Union Insurance Hi-Liner Wrestler of the Week.

Minnema, and eighth-grader, is a first year wrestler, but has quickly picked up the sport.  He finished with a 1-1 record and second place in the Carl Ben Eielson Junior High Tournament on December 6th.  He finished 3-1, with all three wins by fall, in the junior high division of the Grand Forks Sertoma tourney this past weekend.

The award is presented by Farmers Union Insurance, Kirk Olson and Tyler Van Bruggen, agents, in Valley City.
