– The Jamestown College women’s basketball team has signed Shauna Horsch of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., to a Letter of Intent to play basketball for the Jimmies in the fall of 2012.

“Shauna is a long, athletic kid whose defense and 3-point shooting will fit in perfectly with out style of play,” head coach Greg Ulland said.

Horsch, at 5-foot-10, is a two-time All-Conference honorable mention selection in high school She averaged eight points and seven rebounds per game last season. She is also an All-Conference swimmer.

Jamestown’s women are off to a great start this season with a 13-1 record and a No. 15 ranking in the latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll. They are at Minot State on Monday, Dec. 19. The Jimmies are currently the top team in the Association of Independent Institutions.
