N.D.- The 2011 version of the Dakota Holiday Basketball Tournament tips off on Thursday from the Ray Ulmer Field House on the campus of Trinity Bible College in Ellendale.

Both the Oakes High School girls and boys basketball teams will suit up in the tournament, along with Ellendale, Edgeley-Kulm and Leola-Frederick South Dakota for the two-day event.

The Tornado girls will start play at 3:30 p.m. Thursday as they go up against the Lady Rebels of Edgeley-Kulm, and the boys of both schools will play at 5 p.m. The night session has Ellendale/Leola-Frederick girls at 6:30, followed by the boys at 8 p.m.

KDDR-AM 1220 and NewsDakota.com will have coverage of the Oakes games during the tournament. Thursday’s broadcast starts at 3:15.
