(NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown girls hockey team picked up a huge road victory Friday, knocking off the No. 4 team in the state.

The Blue Jays went on the road to Bismarck and earned a 3-0 shutout Friday, handing Bismarck just its third loss of the season. The Blue Jays improve their record to 5-8 in state games, and are 6-8-1 overall. Jamestown is seventh in the state standings. The Blue Jays girls are off until Friday, Jan. 27, when they host Minot (11-3) at 7 p.m. at John Wilson Arena.

Bismarck’s girls drop to 9-3 in state games, and 12-3 overall. They are fourth in the state standings.

The Jamestown boys hockey team won its second straight game Saturday, blowing out Williston 12-0 in Williston.

The Jays are now 4-9-1 overall and 4-7-1 in West Region play. Jamestown is currently sixth in the West Region standings. The Jays are in action again Tuesday when they go on the road to Fargo North (10-4-0 overall) for a non-conference game.
