CITY (Newsdakota.com) Valley City attorney Russ Myhre issued a statement to advise the public that the recall election would be handled with the utmost professionalism, just like any other election.

Myhre wanted to crush a rumor circulating on local social media network comment boards that says election fraud may take place in the Tuesday recall.

Myhre says the election process is open to the public to view during and after the polls close. The only polling place open on Tuesday is inside city hall commission chambers from 8am to 7pm.

Former Police Chief Dean Ross is running against Mayor Bob Werkhoven and Fireman Duane Magnuson is running against city commissioner Ken Evenson.
