N.D. (AP) – Fargo authorities say they’ve linked a North
Dakota man to crimes in Montana, North Dakota and Minnesota.
Twenty-seven-year-old Brandon Bailey of Fargo was arrested last
week for allegedly breaking into a trailer and stealing $7,000
worth of tools.
     
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) – A Jamestown teacher pleaded not guilty to
charges that he sexually assaulting a teenage girl.
Fifty-four-year-old Richard Laqua resigned as a construction
technology teacher at the James Valley Career and Technology Center
late last year. He faces up to 10 years in prison if he’s
convicted.     
    
MINOT, N.D. (AP) – The Air Force plans to kick off a $70 million
runway replacement project at Minot Air Force Base this year. The
work will be done in three phases over the next three years. The
existing runway that was built in the late 1950s.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota wildlife officials say they
spotted a record number of bald eagles during an annual midwinter
survey along a stretch of the Missouri River. Officials say 108
eagles were counted between Bismarck and the Garrison Dam. The
previous record was 85 eagles and was set in 2008.
