(Jamestown College) – Jamestown College head volleyball coach Jon Hegerle says Krista Primus of Sauk Centre, Minn., has signed a Letter of Intent to enroll at Jamestown College next year and play volleyball for the Jimmies.

Primus, a five-foot-nine middle hitter, is an All-Conference and All-Section selection for Sauk Centre High School. She recorded 473 kills, 155 blocks, 752 digs, 96 aces and a .287 hitting percentage during her career. She has also been active in basketball and track.

“I am excited that Krista has chosen to make Jamestown College her future home,” Hegerle says. “Krista has all of the attributes that we look for in a future Jimmie. Her athleticism, playing experience and team first perspective are a perfect fit in our program. I am looking forward to working with Krista as she strives to reach her potential as a student-athlete at Jamestown College.”

Primus is the daughter of Dale and Nancy Primus. She plans to major in Health and Fitness Administration and Spanish at Jamestown College.
