MANDAN (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School wrestling team earned a 42-17 dual victory Thursday, pulling away from Mandan for an impressive road victory.

The win improves Jamestown’s dual record to 8-13 overall and 2-5 in the WDA.

Eathan Gumke (170), Pat Lane (195) and Nate Purcell (220) all earned pins for the Blue Jays, who won nine matches.

Ryan Hillerud, Zane Braun, Mark Reynolds, Paxton Mewes, Jaden Horsted and Brandyn Harr all added victories for the Blue Jays.

Up next: The Blue Jays are off for a week before going on the road for back-to-back matches at Valley City (6-8, 2-6 EDC) on Thursday, Feb. 2, and Dickinson (6-5, 2-4 WDA) on Friday, Feb. 3.
