(NewsDakota.com) The boys winter teams from Oakes High School are in action on Friday night.

The wrestling are heading north and west to New Salem for the East/West Tournament which runs Friday and Saturday. The wrestlers did not lose a single duel this season, as they wrapped up their duel regular season with a 43-28 victory over Linton.

Oakes had winners at 106, 113, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182 195 and 220 lbs with Kaleb Sell, Erik Loepp, Jason Roth, Cody Voegeli, Cole Erhlin, Trenton Ptacek, Keaton Peterson, Ben Ketterling and Austin Foster the winners in those weight classes.

The boys basketball team will try to find their first victory of the season in District 1, as they head to Hankinson to take on the Pirates. Oakes is 3-11 and 0-5, while Hankinson is 5-10 and 2-7.

Coverage Friday starts with wrestling at 2:45, followed by basketball around 7:15. Saturday’s broadcast features wrestling all day from New Salem, starting around 8:45 a.m.
