(Jamestown College) – Jamestown College head football coach Shawn Frank says they have hired Tim Belmore to join the Jimmie coaching staff as offensive coordinator.

Belmore comes to Jamestown College from the University of North Dakota where he served 12 seasons as wide receivers coach, recruiting coordinator and camp coordinator. During his tenure at UND, he was a part of a NCAA National Championship Team in 2001, NCAA National Runner-up in 2003, NCAA National Semifinalist and five conference championships.

During his 12 seasons, the offensive unit set school records for completion percentage, touchdown passes, passing yards, career receptions, career touchdowns, single season receptions and touchdowns scored. He coached seven out of the top 10 wide receivers in career receptions, six of 10 in receiving yards and six of 10 touchdown receptions. He also coached three All-Americans and 11 All-Conference performers.

Belmore coached the 2008 CFL Most Outstanding Rookie Weston Dressler, a Bismarck native and wide receiver for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders who set 19 different records at UND from 2004 to 2007.

Prior to UND, Belmore spent two seasons at South Dakota State University, where he was a graduate assistant and coached the wide receivers. A Bloomington, Minn., native, he attended Gustavus Adolphus College, receiving a bachelor’s degree in communications in 1996. He was a four-year letter winner and All-Conference performer in football. After graduation, he coached for two seasons at Gustavus and served as recruiting coordinator.
