(NewsDakota.com) – It’s a marquee District 2 match-up tonight when Kindred hosts Maple Valley in boys basketball action.

The state’s No. 9-ranked Maple Valley Raiders bring a 15-1 record into the game, and are battling to maintain the No. 2 spot in the district standings. Their only loss this season came against Central Cass, which is undefeated and ranked No. 3 in the state. Central Cass also holds the top spot in the district standings.

Kindred has an 11-5 record on the season, and is battling to force a tie for the second spot in the district standings. They have a 4-2 record in district play, losing to Central Cass and Enderlin.

‘B’ squad starts at 6 p.m., with the varsity to follow at about 7:30 p.m. in Kindred.

The District 2 Tournament runs Feb. 10, 11 and 13 at the Fargo Civic Auditorium.
