(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown picked up a 3-2 victory over Devils Lake on Saturday night in non-conference hockey at Wilson Arena.

Senior forward Brady Anderson crashed the net and scored a power play goal with 55 seconds to go for the game-winner. It was Anderson’s 10th goal of the season. Junior Jake Stilwell scored his 20th goal of the season, and senior Marcus Beedle found the back of the net for his second goal of the season.

Blue Jay junior goalie Ben Walz finished the night with 31 saves, as the Firebirds out shot Jamestown 33-24.

“This was a hard-hitting hockey game,” Jamestown head coach Matt Stockert said. “We played our best period in the third, and our goalie played great. He was huge in the third period.”

Jamestown improves to 6-12-1. Devils Lake has now lost 11 games in a row, and slips to 3-17. Next up for the Jays is their final home game of the season on Tuesday night versus Mandan at 7:30 p.m. Fifth place in the West Region will be at stake.
