Isakson, 81, of LaMoure, ND, passed away February 16, 2012 at the Oakes Community Hospital, Oakes, ND.

Jean Elaine Janisch, daughter of Edward and Ella (Fischer) Janisch was born January 1, 1931 at Diesem, North Dakota. She attended school at Diesem, before attending school at LaMoure, where she graduated from LaMoure High School. Jean was employed by Dr. Maloney as a laboratory technician. She was united in marriage to Robert Isakson on March 8, 1951. They made their home in LaMoure, where they owned and operated Isakson Oil Company until retiring.

Jean was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and she loved her church. She also enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Robert; two daughters, ReNae Alber, LaMoure, ND, Cindy (Duane) Formo, Litchville, ND; a son, Kurt (JoAnne) Isakson, LaMoure, ND; two sisters, Delores Emerson, Ft. Collin, Colorado, and Carol (David) Holen, LaMoure, ND; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, LaMoure. Her funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, LaMoure, with burial to follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
