funeral service for Dillon T. Kapaun, 18, Valley City, ND, will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at the HiLiner Activities Center, Valley City High School.  He died at Sanford Health Center in Fargo, ND on February 24, 2012.          

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City and will continue one hour before the services at the HiLiner Activities Center.          

Dillon Todd Kapaun was born October 18, 1993 in Valley City, ND, to Todd and Suzanne (Holm) Kapaun.  He was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, where he was baptized and confirmed.  Dillon was attending Valley City High School where he was a member of the class of 2012.  He had been accepted at Central Lakes College, Staples, MN, in their heavy equipment program.

He worked alongside his mother, at their family owned Dairy Queen, and alongside his father, doing construction during the summer months.

One of his greatest loves in life was to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Dillon is survived by his parents, Todd and Suzie Kapaun of Valley City; sister Amy Jo Kapaun of Fargo, ND; grandparents, Rodney and Arla Kapaun of Fingal, ND; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee Holm and Pamalee Holm.
