N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Game and Fish Department
is urging anglers to get their fish houses off the ice as quickly
as possible. The deadline to remove permanent fish houses from
state waters is next Thursday, but officials say warm weather over
the next week will rapidly erode ice conditions.
     
PEMBINA, N.D. (AP) – No one was hurt when a semitrailer collided
with a Highway Patrol SUV yesterday on Interstate 29 in northeast
North Dakota. Investigators say the trooper was trying to pass the
truck in blustery, snowy conditions when the semitrailer slid and
jackknifed before crashing into a ditch.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota is getting about $700,000
from a federal historic preservation grant program. The money
invests revenue from oil and gas development into preserving places
that are important to people’s heritage.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Two more Dakotas teams were bounced from
the NAIA Division Two basketball tournaments yesterday. The
tenth-ranked Jamestown College men were upset by unseeded Saint
Francis 64-to-63. And the unseeded Valley City State women lost to
Number 3 College of the Ozarks 57-to-51.
