N.D. (AP) – Officials have unveiled plans for the .5 million redevelopment of the old Jamestown hospital.

The hospital will be transformed into senior housing and will also house the James River Senior Center, as well as a day care and a wellness center. Lutheran Social Services is leading the project that is getting funding from a variety of sources.

The new facility will be called the Legacy Center.

The hospital opened in 1935. It has been replaced by the Jamestown Regional Medical Center, which opened just west of Jamestown last summer.
