(NewsDakota.com)- Jamestown High School has a new football coach, longtime assistant coach Tim Fletcher was approved by the school board this week and will take over the coaching duties.

Fletcher replaces Bill Cahill who spent 14 seasons at the helm of the Blue Jays. Jamestown finished 0-9 last year and hasn’t been to the playoffs since 2008.

Fletcher, a 1992 grad of Jamestown High School, played college football at NDSU and Jamestown College.

The hiring ends a 5-month process that started back in November.
