(NewsDakota.com)- The Blue Jays opened up their 2012 baseball campaign with a pair of convincing victories over Valley City yesterday. Jamestown won a pair of 5-inning affairs 14-1 and 22-1.

Tyler Krenz and Brady Anderson picked up the wins for the Jays.

In Game 1, with Krenz on the mound, the Jays pounded out 14 runs on 9 hits. Anderson and Jake Stillwell drove in three and four runs respectively.

In the second game of the doubleheader, Jamestown got their 22 runs via 12 hits. Four of those hits belonged to Anderson as he drove in another pair of runs. Stillwell was 3-3 with 3 more RBIs.

The two teams will meet again on Monday at Jack Brown Stadium in Jamestown.
