(NewsDakota.com)- The Jimmie baseball team found out yesterday that they will play in the 2012 A.I.I. Baseball Tournament in San Marcos, CA. The tournament will be hosted by Cal State-San Marcos and will be played May 2nd-5th. 

Jamestown College currently sits atop the A.I.I. standings with a 20-11-1 record.

Four of the other five spots in the tournament were released yesterday as well. CS-San Marcos, Arizona Christan, Mayville St., and Thomas (GA.) will compete for the conferences automatic bid the NAIA National Tournament.

The last spot in the tournament will be decided this week and it is between Dickinson St. and Dakota St. No other teams are being considered for last spot.

After the shuffling of the schedule to deal with some weather this weekend, the Jimmies will be back in action today at Jack Brown Stadium against Mayville St. The teams will play in one 9-inning contest.

Wednesday, Jamestown will meet Minot St. in Harvey, ND for a 9-inning game.
