Rohde, age 92 of Fargo and formerly of Buffalo, ND died Apr 24, 2012 at the Elim Nursing Home in Fargo. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday April 28, 2012 at the Buffalo Lutheran Church at Buffalo, ND with Rev. Aanen Gjovik officiating. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM Friday at the church with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 PM. Interment will be in the Buffalo Cemetery.

Eunice Rohde was born to Mable and Arthur Sandberg on February 24, 1920 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and passed away April 24, 2012, at Elim Care Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

Eunice grew up in Pettibone, North Dakota and married Forest (Bud) Rohde on April 4, 1942, in Moorhead, Minnesota. They had two daughters, Marlys and Chuckie, In 1951 they moved to Buffalo, North Dakota and operated Rohde’s Standard Oil and Cafe. In 1970, they retired from the station and Eunice continued to work part time at Tower View Cafe. Eunice lived in her home in Buffalo until 2007 when she moved to Casselwood Senior Living in Casselton, North Dakota. She entered Elim Care Center in 2009 because of health issues.

While in Pettibone, Eunice was active in the Pettibone Lutheran Church as Sunday School superintendent and Ladies Aide member . She then became a member of the Buffalo Lutheran Church and Eastern Star.

Eunice was known for her excellent sugar cookies and home made pies. She treasured her trips on the bus to shop at West Acres. She enjoyed camping in her motor home, visiting her grandchildren and great gandchildren, and the Buffalo Senior Citizen Club.

Eunice is survived by her daughters Marlys (Kent) Krenz of Norcross, Minnesota and Chuckie (Ron) Hartl of Bismarck, North Dakota. Six grandchildren, Kurt (Nameeta) Krenz,Carver, Minnesota; Chris (Roger) Marks, Bismarck, North Dakota; Kim (Tim) Gail, Wheaton, Minnesota; Matthew (Tarra) Hartl, Dickinson, North Dakota; Karl (Carissa) Krenz, Fargo, North Dakota; Garrett (Nicole) Hartl, Lincoln, North Dakota. 14 great grand children, Haley and Hannah Gail, Danielle and William Marks, Madison, Tristan, MacKenzie, Matthew, Treytan, Charleigh, and Crosby Hartl; Carson and Cara Krenz; and Lucas Hartl. Sister Alice (Kenneth) Hesteness of Hawley, Minnesota. Sister-in-laws Joyce (Cal) Hagberg of Fridley, Minnesota; Opal Rohde, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Dolorce Rohde, Fargo, North Dakota; Ferne Simons, Rolla, North Dakota; and Bev Kazarski, Donna Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Eunice was preceded in death by her husband Forest (Bud) Rohde, her parents Mable and Arthur Sandberg, sister Marlys, brother and his wife, Lyle and Jerry Sandberg; and brother-in-laws Glen, Lorenz and Henry Rohde, Bill Simons and Pete Karzmarski.
