Jo (Dahl) Benson, age 52 of Jamestown died on March 30, 2012 from injuries in a vehicle/motorcycle accident in Arizona.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City, ND A time of fellowship will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 6 – 7pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City, ND followed by a prayer service at 7pm at the church. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Valley City, ND.

Kathy Jo Dahl, the daughter of Ronald C and Eloise G (Loken) Dahl was born March 7, 1960 in Plentywood, MT. Kathy grew up and attended school in Valley City and graduated from Valley City High School in 1978. After her graduation, Kathy worked at Pamida, VFW, Elks, Payless Shoes, Progress Enterprises and Jamestown Hospital. On September 25, 2004, Kathy married the love of her life, Ralph Benson of Jamestown, ND. Kathy was known by many as a true friend. Kathy was a wonderful wife, a great mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Kathy loved to draw, do genealogy, play on the computer, embroider, riding with her husband on the motorcycle, camping and spending time with her kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews. Never missing a chance to get together with family.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Ralph Benson of Jamestown, ND; son, Steven Dahl of Valley City, ND; step-daughter, Melissa (Lance) Brown, Joplin, MO.; 4 grandkids- Madison Benson, Fargo, ND; Joselyn Brown, Isaac Brown and Karalyn Brown. Joplin, MO.; sisters, Sandie (Jim) Mielke, Aberdeen, SD; Mary (Dale) Undem, Leal, ND; Jody (Steve) Pfaff, Litchville, ND; brothers, Jerry (Michelle) Dahl, Valley City, ND; Ron (Tracey) Dahl, Fargo, ND; Sisters-in-law, Delores Erickson, MapleGrove, MN & Donna (Jon) Nestoss, Bismarck, ND.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, stepson – Patrick Benson; mother & father-in-law, Thelma & Bernard Benson; brother-in-law, Ronald Benson; and great-nephew Christopher Mielke.
