services for Mercedith Trzpuc, age 82 of Fargo and formerly of Marion, ND will be conducted at 10:30 AM Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Marion, ND.

Mercedith Ellenora Trzpuc was born on March 20, 1930 near Litchville, ND the only child of Ernest and Mable Larson. She was so tiny when she was born that she fit into a shoe box and slept in a dresser drawer. She grew up on the family farm and attended a country school that was located at the end of the family farm driveway. On October 4, 1947 she was married to Francis Trzpuc and they lived on a farm north of Marion, ND until 2009. She was a farm wife/mother. She helped on the farm and also painted next to Francis for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother; she loved her flower gardens and baking bread, cookies, and cakes. She baked many cakes over the years for weddings, birthdays, or special occasions. She enjoyed travelling to Medora each year to see the musical. Since Nov. 2009 she has made her home at the Elim Nursing Center in Fargo, ND.

Mercedith is survived by her husband Francis, 3 sons, DelRay (Linda) Trzpuc, Kathryn, ND, Kenneth (Linda) Trzpuc, Litchville, ND, and Jeffrey (Holly) Trzpuc, Kathryn, ND; 4 daughters, Florine (Wayne) Fredrickson, Horace, ND, Marie (Mike) Carroll, Lisbon, ND, Theresa (Bill) Robinson, Parkers Prairie, MN, and Julie Trzpuc (Randy), Fargo, ND; a daughter-in-law Roxanne Trzpuc, Valley City, ND; 19 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Richard.
