N.D. (AP) – Police in Fargo locked down a school building Tuesday afternoon after reports of a bomb threat and a shot fired.

The Forum reports that the Agassiz School was evacuated and parents were told they can pick up students at South High School, where they were being taken by bus.

Superintendent Rick Buresh says school officials received a bomb threat at about 1:45 p.m. Buresh says police shortly after the threat received a report of a shot fired in the area, and officials initially reacted under the assumption there was a shooter in the area.

Lt. Joel Vettel says police are sweeping the building to make sure there isn’t a bomb inside.
