CITY (NewsDakota.com) Jazz legend Peggy Lee will be memorialized in her childhood hometown of Wimbledon with the installations of photos and other music memorabilia at the Midland Continental Railroad Depot during a Grand Opening ceremony on Saturday.

Stella Castellucci played harp on several recordings and performance with Peggy Lee and later became a life long friend.

Peggy Lee born in 1920 as Norma Delores Egstrom died in January of 2002. Saturday, May 26 would have been the jazz singers 92nd birthday.

A tribute performance to Peggy Lee will be held tonight at 7:30 at the Reiland Fine Arts Center at Jamestown College by jazz artist Stacy Sullivan and a second performance in Fargo at the Stage at Island Park (former FMCT) at 7pm Saturday night.

The Midland Continental Depot Museum Grand Opening will be Saturday in Wimbledon starting at 9:30am, dedication at 11am and the noon picnic and other ceremonies. The events in Wimbledon are free and open to the public.
