N.D. (AP) – North Dakota’s congressional delegation met with Delta Airlines, Great Lakes Airlines, and local and state officials Wednesday about rural air service for Devils Lake and Jamestown.

The meeting in Washington included Sens. Kent Conrad and John Hoeven, Rep. Rick Berg and Lt. Governor Drew Wrigley.

The officials are looking for solutions to the ongoing flight service disruptions confronting the communities and high air fares.

The delegation and governor’s office in a joint statement say the unreliable service is unacceptable. They say they’re looking to smooth the transition from Delta Airlines to Great Lakes and suggested there may be additional options beyond the existing interline agreement.
