(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown legion team hasn’t had their season start out on a high note, but they did notch their first win Friday night in Dickinson.

After losing a pair of games to West Fargo, Jamestown took a split against Dickinson.

Kyle Gengler pitched five strong innings, before giving way to Danny Fischer who completed the shutout, 2-0.

Post 14 was unable to respond in Game 2 after Dickinson jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning before winning 5-1.

Jamestown will be in Grand Forks tonight before hitting the road to Omaha for the Cornhusker Classic this weekend.
