WI  (NewsDakota.com)–After eight straight losses to start the season, Valley City Post 60 Legion Baseball finally broke through in LaMoure this past weekend.

Spencer Meyer’s walkoff single in the bottom of the seventh capped a four-run rally and delivered Valley City their first win in a 6-5 victory over the Jamestown Blues in the LaMoure Tournament Saturday.  Jaden Keys picked up the win.

On Sunday, after falling behind 3-1 after an inning, Post 60 exploded for 16 runs in four innings in a 17-5 win over Wahpeton B. 

Chase Carpenter was 3-3, Austen Meyer was 3-4 with four RBI, and Keys was 2-3 with a double and five RBI.

Post 60 gets back into sectional play at Harwood tonight.
