(NewsDakota.com) – A pair of cows enjoyed a brief romp of freedom Thursday afternoon in Jamestown before being tranquilized near Jamestown Implement.

Sergeant Justin Blinsky with the Jamestown Police Department says the two cattle were reported to be on the loose near Holiday Inn Express about 1:20 p.m. Thursday after escaping while being unloaded at Southwood Veterinary Clinic, which is located behind Conlin’s Furniture.

Blinsky says the incident lasted less than an hour. The cattle were in town to receive medical treatment at the veterinary clinic.
