(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Police are seeking the public’s help as they investigate a Sunday morning burglary at Riddle’s Jewelry.

At least three suspects smashed through the east doors of the Buffalo Mall, gained entrance to Riddle’s through a glass display window, and quickly cleaned out several display cases of jewelry sometime around 4 a.m. Sunday.

Jamestown Police Lieutenant John Gletne says the whole incident lasted less than two minutes.


Gletne says they have surveillance video showing at least three suspects, but they were disguised and police were unable to obtain a description of the suspects or their vehicle.

Dispatch received an alarm call at 4:14 a.m., and a police officers was on the scene within a minute, said Gletne, but the suspects were already gone. Jamestown Police are asking anyone who noticed suspicious or unusual activity in the early morning hours to call police at 252-2414.


Officials on Monday were still determining what items were taken in the heist.
