(NewsDakota.com) – With the July 4th holiday approaching, that means fireworks season in North Dakota.

Fireworks can legally be sold starting Wednesday in North Dakota. They can be sold until July 5.

Jamestown city administrator Jeff Fuchs says the use of or detonation of fireworks from midnight to 9 a.m. is prohibited within the city of Jamestown, except for the night of July 4, when fireworks may be detonated from 9 a.m., July 4, to 1 a.m. on July 5.

Fireworks may be used or detonated in Jamestown from June 27 to July 5, as long as residents adhere to the restrictions. Children under 12 years of age cannot buy fireworks in Jamestown, and can only use them under the direct supervision of an adult.
