(NewsDakota.com) Two people were injured in a three vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of North Dakota Highway 1 and 87th street southeast on the northern edge of Oakes on Monday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Oakes Fire, Police and Ambulance along with the Dickey County Sheriff’s department responded to the scene around 12:50 p.m.

Two of the three vehicles involved were at the intersection when officials arrived, and a third was found in the northbound ditch. The Dickey County Sheriff’s office says that two people involved in the crash were taken to the Oakes Community Hospital for their injuries.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating, and will release more details later Monday afternoon.
