(NewsDakota.com) – There will be a free Arts Day on Saturday, Aug. 4, in downtown Jamestown.

The event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. in the park at the corner of Main Avenue and Second Street Southwest. It will include music by Kerry Wicks and Mark Haines, demonstrations by potters, raku and smoke firing of ceramic tiles and vessels. Attendees will also have a chance to make a tile to be included in a community clay installation.

Guest potter Mark Lusardi from Minneapolis will assist people in glazing and clay creations. Music and events begin at 1 p.m. Attendees are also invited to stop at the Arts Center for the opening of the 48th Annual Area Artist Exhibition.
