Wimbledon Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash North of Spiritwood

N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A Wimbledon man is dead following a motorcycle crash 3 miles north of Spiritwood Saturday night about 11:35pm.

The Highway Patrol identified the man as 44-year-old Scott McMillan. Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Tom Herzig says McMillan was traveling north on Stutsman County Road 62 north of Spiritwood when the motorcycle entered a curve, drifted across the southbound lane and entered a ditch. McMillian was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered severe injuries.

McMillian was transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center where he died. Herzig says alcohol was a factor and the crash remains under investigation with the Highway Patrol. Herzig says McMillian was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
