(NewsDakota.com) – A 37-year-old Valley City man has died following a head-on collision between his motorcycle and a pickup Monday afternoon on Highway 62 north of Spiritwood Lake.

Sergeant Liz Kapp with the Stutsman County Sheriff’s office says the crash occurred about two miles north of Spiritwood Lake just before 4:30 p.m. Monday.  The man has been identified as Jackson Schnaidt.

Monday’s crash comes just two days after a 44-year-old Wimbledon man was killed a few miles away when he lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 62 just north of Spiritwood. Scott McMillan was killed in that accident. His funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Wimbledon.
