VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City Police Chief Fred Thompson says every time there is a 9-1-1 call in the city a police officer will check it out no matter what. He says in the past some dispatchers have taken the word of the call that it was a miss dialed number.

Thompson has made a few changes in 911 dispatch procedure since taking over as the new police chief in Valley City this summer.
