CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A fire burned 2 homes and 3 vehicles early Wednesday morning in Valley City.

Fire Captain Ron Burchill lives in a home a few yards away from scene and saw a metal shed with a car fully engulfed in flames around 2:30 Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported.

Several people were displaced from the fire including home owner Julie Munkeby who said her family and two renters on her property were affected by the fire.

Another homeowner next door, Mike Schmidt said, “I’m glad no one was injured and they’ll have to start over again and rebuild.”

3 vehicles were burned in the fire on Wednesday. The two homes are in the 400 block of 5th avenue southwest Valley City. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
