OAKES (NewsDakota.com) The city of Oakes welcomed home members of the North Dakota National Guard’s 188th Engineering Company on Thursday night with a meal and a short presentation at the Oakes Armory on Thursday night.
About a hundred people passed through the doors to pay homage to the men and women who had been serving in Kuwait for the last year. The troops arrived back in North Dakota last week.
