CITY (NewsDakota.com) – A Dazey, N.D. man has died following a vehicle rollover early Sunday morning near Dazey.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 43-year-old Jarrod Sherlock was traveling eastbound on Barnes County Road 4 about five miles west of Dazey when he lost control of his 2006 Dodge pickup.

The vehicle entered the south ditch and over-corrected, crossed the roadway and entered the north ditch. The vehicle rolled several times in a bean field and came to rest facing south on its wheels.

Sherlock was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing his seat belt according to the NDHP, and airbags did not deploy. The crash remains under investigation.

The Highway Patrol says the crash occurred about 2 a.m. Sunday. Sergeant Joshua Rude says alcohol is believed to be involved in the crash.
