(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown College defense has surrendered 80 points through their first two games of the season. Concordia-Moorhead brought their double-wing running attack to Rollie Greeno Field, but it was the arm of Griffin Neal that paced the Cobbers to a 42-26 win.

Neal threw three touchdown passes in the opening half in his Cobber debut to give Concordia a 21-6 lead just before halftime.

The Jimmies weren’t done as they marched down the field to punch in another score just before the break. For the second time the PAT was no good and Jamestown trailed 21-12 heading into half.

With south winds blowing in excess of 20 mph the Cobbers coaching staff opted to take the wind in the first half rather than the ball when they won the toss, so the Jimmies got the ball to open both halves. They marched down the Concordia five yard-line before Gus Ramasco was intercepted.

The Cobbers capitalized taking the ensuing drive for seven points on an 11-yard touchdown run by Ben Wolfe, his second score of the day. 

Later in the third, the Jimmies Matt Wilson, who had eight catches for 150 yards, scored on a 35-yard pass play from Ramasco to pull the Jimmies within nine.

However, in the fourth quarter the Cobbers turned it over to their workhorse Brett Braune and he chewed up yards and the clock. Concordia found the end zone two more times before the final whistle, coasting to a 42-26 victory. 

Jamestown College goes to 0-2 on the season. They will be on the road in Menomonie, WI next Saturday against UW-Stout. Kick-off at 1pm, pregame show on KQDJ-AM 1400/97.1 at 12:30pm.
